Just Announced: People's Choice Country Awards Nominations (2024)

The 2nd Annual People’s Choice Country Awards nominations were just announced.

A little over a month before the People’s Choice Country Awards are set to air, the organization has announced the nominees for the 18 categories. In 2023, the show had 12 categories, so an increase to 18 is a pretty big deal! Additionally, half of the categories are song categories including, Cover Song, Female Song, Male Song, Group/Duo Song, Cover Song, New Artist Song, and Storyteller Song.

When are the People’s Choice Country Awards?

The second iteration of the People’s Choice Country Awards will take place on Thursday, September 28. The show is set to take place from the Grand Ole Opry House and will air live on NBC and Peaco*ck at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Who is hosting the People’s Choice Country Awards?

It was announced in July that Shania Twain will be taking over hosting duties for the People’s Choice Country Awards from Little Big Town, who helmed the show in 2023.

In a statement, Twain said, “Country has some of the most passionate fans in music and us artists are so lucky to be supported in doing what we love. I am honored to host an award show that celebrates these awesome fans. Get ready for an unforgettable show with lots of big hair, glamour, rhinestones, hats, boots and incredible performances. Giddy Up!”

Who leads nominations for People’s Choice Country Awards?

With 18 possible awards, one might think that that 18 is the maximum about of nominations, but that is incorrect! Some artists have two songs nominated in certain categories!

Zach Bryan leads the nominations with 19, with Beyoncè following closely behind with 17. Kacey Musgraves has 15 nods, while newcomer Shaboozy has 12. Kane Brown and Morgan Wallen each have 11 nominations and Luke Combs has 10.
